Terms of service

Last updated 15 September 2026

MyTable is QR ordering for restaurants and pubs in the UK. A restaurant signs up, builds its menu and puts a code on each table. A guest scans the code, reads the menu, orders and pays from their phone. These terms cover both. The first part is for restaurants, the second for guests, and the rest applies to everyone. By using MyTable you agree to them.

About us

MyTable (mytable.page) is operated by the site owner. In these terms "MyTable", "we" and "us" mean the operator.

Restaurant accounts

Signing up is free. There is no subscription, no monthly fee and no minimum term. You get your own address ending in .mytable.page and can connect your own domain. You can invite staff and give each of them a role. You are responsible for who has access to your account and for what they do with it.

Our fee

We charge a platform fee on each paid order, collected by Stripe from the payment before the money reaches you. By default it is 1% of the order value, including any service charge. We never charge a fee on tips. If we agree custom pricing with you in writing, that replaces the default. Stripe's own card processing fees are separate from our fee and are charged under your agreement with Stripe.

Payments, refunds and disputes

Payments are processed by Stripe Connect and settle directly into your own Stripe account. You are the merchant of record: a guest's order is a contract between you and them, and you are responsible for refunds, chargebacks and disputes. You can issue refunds from your admin. When you refund an amount, our fee on that amount is refunded too.

What you are responsible for

  • The accuracy of your menu, prices and allergen information. Every dish must have all 14 UK regulated allergens answered before it can be published, but the answers are yours, and guests rely on them.
  • Your allergen policy text, which guests must acknowledge before they pay.
  • Complying with food law, licensing and age restrictions. Items you mark as containing alcohol are flagged as age-restricted to guests, but checking age at the table is your job.
  • Tips. They are passed to you in full, and you must handle them in line with the Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023.
  • Your staff accounts and anything done through them.
  • VAT and any other tax on your own sales.

Your menu and our records

Your menu data is yours. We keep order and audit records for as long as we need them for legal, tax and dispute reasons, including after an account is closed.

Ending the relationship

Either of us can end it at any time. There is no notice period and no exit fee. We may suspend or close an account for misuse, non-payment of our fees, fraud, or where the law requires it.

Ordering as a guest

You do not need an account or an app. When you first add something to a basket, an anonymous session is created on your device. You can create an account if you want to keep your order history, saved cards and an allergen profile, but you do not have to.

Your order is a contract with the restaurant, not with us. The restaurant prepares it, serves it and handles any refund. Before you pay you must acknowledge the restaurant's allergen notice. If you have an allergy, tell the staff as well.

Paying as a guest

You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Stripe processes the payment and we never see your full card number. If you save a card, Stripe stores it and we hold only a reference to it.

Some venues let you run a tab. A card is held when the tab opens. If the tab is left idle for ninety minutes, it is charged to that card.

Age-restricted items

Items containing alcohol are flagged as age-restricted. The restaurant is responsible for checking your age at the table and may decline to serve you.

Availability and liability

MyTable is provided "as is". We make reasonable efforts to keep it available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we are not liable for lost profits caused by downtime. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous three months. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using MyTable after a change, the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
